David is a writer and filmmaker who has worked in various production capacities for more than 20 years. Despite growing up in Hollywood and around the film industry, it is reflective of his contrarian nature that he graduated from the People’s Film Department at Bard College in Upstate New York. He has been a freelance writer, producer, director, and editor on a wide range of documentary, industrial, and television projects and has provided full-service productions through his company Adastra Creative.
The short film gone Elvis is David’s first work as writer/director in theatrical film. It made its festival premier in October at the FilmColumbia Film Festival and is being submitted to other festivals across the country. In addition to developing this story about a homeless, female war veteran into a feature length film, David is also collaborating with author Howard Roughan on new feature screenplay to be announced soon.
